Thank you to everyone who attended the recent Parish Council meeting and took the time to speak with me and PC Wright 1208 about your local concerns. I really appreciate you coming forward and sharing what you have been witnessing in the area.
The issues raised regarding shop thefts and suspected drug dealing on Manor Road and St Mary’s Avenue are matters we are already aware of. We are working closely with the Co‑op, and we have recently seen an increase in theft reports, which is helping us build a clearer picture of what is happening.
I have already carried out a patch walk in these areas to better understand local concerns first hand. In my absence, the beat team will be making a conscious effort to increase patrols in the area. Please be aware that these patrols may sometimes be conducted in unmarked vehicles, which enables officers to better identify activity and gather intelligence on what may be taking place.
Following the meeting, we have also seen an increase in Neighbourhood Link sign‑ups, which is brilliant. This is a really effective way for you to help us, so that we can help you – by sharing timely information, updates, and appeals relevant to your area.
